Backlink Checker
Analyze referring domains, backlink counts, and dofollow ratios.
What is a Backlink Checker?
A backlink checker analyzes the inbound links pointing to a website. Backlinks are one of the most important ranking factors in search engine optimization — they signal trust and authority to Google and other search engines. Our free backlink checker shows you the total number of backlinks, referring domains, referring pages, and the ratio of dofollow to nofollow links for any domain.
What the metrics mean
- Total Backlinks — the total number of inbound links from other websites
- Referring Domains — unique root domains linking to the target
- Referring Pages — unique pages containing at least one link to the target
- Dofollow Ratio — percentage of links that pass link equity
Why backlinks matter for SEO
Search engines treat backlinks as votes of confidence. A page with many high-quality backlinks from authoritative domains will typically rank higher than a page with few or low-quality links. The number of unique referring domains is generally more valuable than raw backlink count, since multiple links from the same domain carry diminishing returns. Dofollow links pass PageRank and directly influence rankings, while nofollow links still contribute to brand visibility and referral traffic.
